Summer Internship
Antibody Research Corporation is now offering Summer Internship for high school students. This program will give students exposure to various aspects of modern scientific research from a small Biotechnology company setting. This is intended for students interested to pursue a career in life sciences. Students will have a chance to learn advanced laboratory techniques and participate in hands-on research in the lab.
Eligibility:
• Should be a high school junior or senior or enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in college.
• A permanent resident of the U.S. or U.S. territories.
• Interested in pursuing a degree in life sciences field.
• Able to work at least 40 hours/wk from Monday, June 27 through Friday, August 5, 2012.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
We have an immediate need for someone with knowledge and experience in animal cell culture and protein chemistry. Work experience with various cell lines, electrophoresis, chromatography, ELISA, and or western blot, required. Familiarity with Monoclonal antibody and Hybridoma development and small animal handling is a plus.
The ideal candidate will be result oriented and work independently. Ability to read, understand and interpret documents such as protocols, safety rules, standard operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Prepare project reports, develop workflows & protocols, communicate with clients and trouble shoot experimental problems. Expected to have good written and verbal communication skills & knowledge of computer applications in biology.
Qualifications Needed: MS/Ph.D. in Life sciences or equivalent with relevant experience required.
Compensation: Commensurate with background and experience.
